- Follow USA Swimming’s coaching code as well as Kingfish expectations.
- Respect swimmers, coaches, competitors, officials, and families. Model discipline, loyalty, commitment, and hard work.
- Prioritize safety, fairness, sportsmanship, and each swimmer’s emotional and physical well-being over winning.
- Respect individual development. Do not discriminate on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, or age.
- Do not use or possess illegal drugs, controlled substances, or performance-enhancing drugs; violations result in termination.
- Sexual harassment—including unwelcome sexual advances, requests for favors, or intimidating, hostile, or offensive sexual conduct—can result in termination.
- Dating, romantic, or sexual relationships with swimmers are prohibited and result in immediate termination. A coach who also swims for KSC is treated as a coach for this rule.
Accountability
The board determines discipline for violations or other adverse conduct, including conduct creating discord among swimmers, coaches, or families. Discipline may include termination of employment.
